i'm measuring some of my old rope to decide what lengths i want and... how are these exactly 256 inches? (they're supposed to be 20ft)

still trying to decide how to cut this rope. i'm thinking 10/20/30/40ft, which would give me a nice range of lengths to play with
or maybe 36/36/12/12?
