I think a lot about this moment. In 1940, in the middle of the Second World War, several Native American peoples gathered to make this statement that they would no longer use the Swastika because its meaning had been polluted to a hate symbol. It had been in use for centuries among their peoples as a positive symbol, but they laid it aside in a gesture of support for the victims of fascism abroad.
it's such a powerful symbolic gesture, in the most literal sense, of solidarity. As a Jew, this is the level of solidarity I aim to return to indigenous folks around the world who have been crushed by imperialism every bit as much as the Jews were crushed by the Nazis.

@teufelsweiblein Ich dachte ewig lange, ich werde es _nie_ lernen! Ich sag immer, Programmieren ist ne manisch-depressive Angelegenheit. Man braucht viel Frustrationstoleranz, aber wenn mal was klappt - was für ein großartiges Gefühl! Auf jeden Fall nicht aufgeben, durchbeißen! Scheitern und Zweifeln gehört zum Geschäft und ist nichts, wofür man sich schämen muss.
@teufelsweiblein Hab mit HTML/CSS angefangen, bin dann über jsp und aspx ins Programmieren gewandert, hab Java und C# gelernt. Aber meine große Liebe ist JavaScript/TypeScript/React geworden, weil ich gern was zum Angucken hab, wenns fertig ist und weil das Endprodukt meistens auch für andere direkt erfahrbar ist.

@Nasenspray Es gibt eine Software, die heißt ScummVM (Gibts unter anderem auch für Windows), mit der kann man solche alten Spiele spielen. Dafür brauvht man eben ScummVM _und_ das jeweilige Spiel. Archive.org hat viele solcher alten Spiele zum runterladen- Und manche kann man sogar direkt im Browser spielen (dann ohne ScummVM)
