One of my favourite things on Tiktok a few weeks ago was when Ben Shapiro did a video reacting to some queer teen’s tiktok videos, and the kid did a response video and had no idea who Ben Shapiro was and felt like they were “punching down” because “he only has 1/4 the followers I do”.

The kids are good, and we need to do what we can to support them.

Der Hamburger Hauptbahnhof wird Waffenverbotszone. Wer künftig mit Taschenmesser verreisen und dort umsteigen möchte, kann bei der Polizeidienststelle J4 eine kostenpflichtige Ausnahme beantragen. Beim Erstverstoß wird ein Bußgeld in Höhe von 150 Euro verhängt, das Taschenmesser wird eingezogen.

Admins federating with Threads, you are removing the safety barriers and it is going to destroy any community that exists within your realm where LGBTQ+ people just joke around and laugh and make friends and share their experiences. As soon as your users are aware they have an audience of 100M Threads users, many right wing or anti-trans who want to attack them for their existence, make them the target of the week, they will cease to be afforded that open experience.

You cant moderate 100M+ users reactively. You cant unsend a thousand death threats. You cant block endless bot accounts.
