trans question
@TipsyTentacle This I can offer some indirect experience on. My girlfriend took oral progesterone for a time because she was told it would tend to encourage the growth of her breasts. I think it did, perhaps; she's developed a rather nice rack, if I may be so bold...but it gave her a cycle of up and down moods that she eventually tired of, and she stopped.
@kiwifuzz Greetings, Allison. *inclines her head respectfully* I will try.
@Elizafox I've rather wondered btw whether the concept of "kayfabe" in professional wrestling actually had much validity. I know a few dedicated fans, including my own girlfriend, and none of them suspend disbelief in any meaningful sense. It's pure comic-book spectacle to them.
@Elizafox *chuckles* it was _just_ plausible enough. well done.
@Elizafox Ah! I was really hoping this was a genuine bit of history.
@Elizafox the hash use is attested? I mean, I can believe it easily, but it's an amusing detail

@Elizafox @KitRedgrave @Trev Ah, that's a painting actually, "Eight Onions, One Green". https://www.hudsonart.org/2014-82nd-annual?lightbox=imagez9g
@laura I am not entirely certain. What _seems_ to be happening is that many users are being suspended or "shadowbanned" for using vulgarity like "fuck" and "shit". The pattern suggests that Twitter is using automated script to enforce this.
@Elizafox favoriting a sad post always seems like a strange sort of interaction...if I do it, it means roughly "I feel unequal to commenting so I will try to express sympathy without words" but really that's asking a bit much of a single mouse click
Hm, I think I'll write up a new #introduction / #introductions thing myself...my name's Kara Dreamer, and yes, I named myself after Chara Dreemurr from Undertale. It was by trying to inhabit the persona of Chara when writing and envisioning Undertale fanfic that I found a channel to express my _own_ uncertainties about identity and gender. Through Chara Dreemurr I was finally able to grasp that I was #trans, and I'll always honor them. Thank you, @chara.
Anyway, I'm _also_ a massive science geek, a novice at what I've been loosely calling "chaos magic" with my dragonkin self @kel as my familiar. Oh, yes, I'm a fearful plurality :)
@Felthry oh XD not at all
@Felthry Ah! It's a reference to a character in "Undertale"
@Felthry Well, you know, it's like Mettaton losing his arms, he doesn't _really_ need them
@somarasu EVERY SINGLE TOOT from this bot would begin with "Actually,..."
you've heard of artificial intelligence, now get ready for
@Elizafox No thank you, I've had my fill of such persons as Richard Dawkins
@Alyx Of course not! I have simply decided to let Twitter know how I really feel about them.
Seattle transwoman, horse, Pearl, scientist, classicist, Stoic, scholiast: @alyx@icosahedron.website's future and holder of @kel's leash. One of the members of @kara_dreamer's plurality; I function as her librarian, amanuensis, and disciplinarian (as much as I can, with such a troublesome gang to work with.)
