I'm about to make a research about #mastodon and it's community to also find out what should be improved.

It will basicly be a quantitative research.

*sighs* well, okay...here are my unfinished #Undertale projects, links to the fragments, and a short account of why they were abandoned.

"Voices Rejecting Me, Voices Protecting Me" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/6846079/chapters/15627295) - I'd had some idea of writing Frisk's experience of interacting with Chara's consciousness from the perspective of a child who had grown accustomed to dealing with auditory hallucinations ("voices in their head") and slowly came to realize that there was something different about Chara. Abandoned because my conception of Chara is now completely different and the first chapter I here wrote is no longer a match to my vision.

"Something a Little More Plain, Something a Little More Sane" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/6589318/chapters/15073681) - my first Undertale story idea. I was imagining that Dr. Alphys would need help from a human scientist if she was establishing a new lab on the Surface after the monsters were freed, and I was trying to write the story of a scientist who ends up taking a job with Alphys. Abandoned because I had no clear conception of where I was going with the tale and I got bogged down in magic vs. science nonsense, but I think I have a better idea now for reviving this tale.

"Leavin' on a Jet Plane" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/8597176/chapters/19715812) - something I thought I could finish on an actual plane trip. Didn't. I posit that Undyne is actually afraid of flying.

"Hallowtide" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/8435383/chapters/19325701) - now this is one that I'm really disappointed about finishing, but as per usual my vision for the story was faulty. I was juggling around a number of ideas pertaining to how the Undertale monsters might interact with human Hallowe'en, guessing that Underground monster culture didn't _like_ focusing on the morbid side of the imagination (hence explaining why Napstablook feels like such an outcast). Also I wanted to do some character development for Stephen Corey, the protagonist of the (unfinished!) "Something a Little More Plain".

"Crouching Toriel, Hidden Cougar" (http://monophylos.deviantart.com/art/Crouching-Toriel-Hidden-Cougar-Chapter-One-640178792). A tale of how, now that the monsters are established on the Surface, Toriel deals with her growing attraction for Sans, and how Frisk contrives to play matchmaker again.

"More than Kin, Less than Kind" (http://monophylos.deviantart.com/art/More-than-Kin-Less-than-Kind-Chapter-One-642271718). A story of how Chara, recovering in a sanitarium after Frisk brings them back a few years after the events of the game, is reunited with a revived Asriel.

"Death vs. The Undying" (http://monophylos.deviantart.com/art/Death-vs-The-Undying-649940102). How Undyne met Neil Gaiman's Death when she _almost_ perished in Hotland while chasing Frisk.

"Where Are Monsters in Dreams" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/6674986/chapters/15265462). A story about the first human to greet the monsters after Frisk frees them from the Underground.

"Starstuff" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/6738364/chapters/15400732). A story about a somewhat shambolic first date between Papyrus and Mettaton and how it still manages to end happily.

"And Now a Message from Our Sponsor" (http://archiveofourown.org/works/7379647). An Undertale-Prairie Home Companion "Ketchup Advisory Board" crossover. Yes, you read that right.

I miss the ritual of connecting to the internet back in the days of dialup. Today we're just always online which is neat, but not as special, y'know?

I was just remembering the late dialup days of crossing your fingers and hoping you'll get a good connection, the full 56k v.92 handshake that gave you the best upload speeds for playing games online.

I used to be able to sing the handshake for 9600 baud well enough to fool modems into attempting a connection.

Putting out another reminder that I'm in search of affordable housing in or very near Seattle.

Sooner I find some place the better, so I no longer have to endure my landlord sending me listings and suggesting I'm not trying hard enough to leave (and that I'm being too picky when I limit my search to places where I can trust my roommates won't flip out on me for being transgender.)
