All right, I believe that completes the process of re-adding all my followers. Hope to see you on @mona@icosahedron.website. Until next time, friends!

@Elizafox *nods* that's true, but this wasn't like the French revolution(s) that attempted to unseat a firmly established government. A weak colonial garrison was overthrown, not THE KING OF ENGLAND like we pretend we did here in the States.

@Elizafox I've long disliked that the "American Revolution" is called a "Revolution". It was no such thing. It was a bunch of relatively comfortable colonial patriarchs deciding that they could risk kicking over the traces and run things themselves. And that's just what happened.

Hello friends! I have just created an account on icosahedron.website to be with @alyx@icosahedron.website , and probably I will phase out my use of this account over the course of a day or two. I'll be re-adding all my followers to that one. Thanks for your patience!

@mona@icosahedron.website

@kara_dreamer @zebratron2084 Also I admit you caught me as I was considering moving to another instance XD Like @alyx@icosahedron.website I've become curiously restless.

@zebratron2084 @kara_dreamer The neurodivergence exhibited by the protagonist of that story, Clyde Bromely, is a disabling tendency to get lost in wild chains of association connecting whatever's in his mind at the time to popular idioms, snatches of old songs, &c. Sometimes he can corral it, sometimes he goes right off into the unknown....in any case, the story presents a darkly amusing picture of "maladaptation" as Bromely meanders away from correspondence with reality.

@kara_dreamer @zebratron2084 *looks up from her pile of notes* Unfortunately this instance seems curiously to lag behind others so I did not even see the citation of this deity until you drew my attention to it, Kara. Perhaps I should look for somewhat better quarters. But indeed I find no reference to an "Oaraeu". Perhaps it is a name of @zebratron2084's device.

I wanna meet the nicest people in the fediverse, so tell me about your goodest friends <3

@Efi My dear friend @Ulfra_Wolfe has been a source of wisdom and comfort to me for many months now, and I recommend her highly.

@kara_dreamer All the same, you get a Pearl Point for finishing that task. *puts it on Kara's shirt*

@kara_dreamer Learn to proofread and double-check before publication, young woman.

lewd gandalf secks

@cnc @alyx@icosahedron.website Tolkien's work is so sexless that any attempt to inject obscenity into it comes across as strange indeed. Still...

All books can be indecent books
Though recent books are bolder
For filth (I'm glad to say)
Is in the mind of the beholder
When correctly viewed
Everything is lewd
I could tell you things about Peter Pan
And the Wizard of Oz (there's a dirty old man!)

Undertale writing

@kara@imaginair.es I know that was difficult for you, Kara. *hugs* You get a Pearl Point for being brave enough to revisit what you think of as your failures.

Undertale writing (and bonus Prairie Home Companion)

@kara@imaginair.es All right! now, Kara, list unfinished stories.

@GinnyMcQueen@kitty.town "No one needs money to eat" does seem to be the Republican method for administering EBT
