@eal@cybre.space Hm. I appreciate the numerous callouts to one of my favourite books, but I think I'm content where I am at the moment. Thank you for the tip, however!

@eal@cybre.space I think this is a terrible idea.

@kara@imaginair.es Focus, Kara! *tugs on leash, then smiles*

All right. I think a good place to start will be with the writing that you have already _completed_. Will you go over that please?

@squ1rrel I will, but only if I see it again and can work up a better description. I suspect there was some particular sequence of events required that I am not remembering.

@squ1rrel Hrm, at least I _had_ been able to do that. Now things seem normal again.

@squ1rrel Let me see...I was able to do it a couple of times by scrolling sufficiently far down then scrolling up again. Refreshing with F5 cleared the strange formatting.

@kara@imaginair.es Indeed. It is good to see you again at last, Kara Dreamwright. What dreams do you wish to design and construct today?

@Firstaide It is something that I think @alyx@icosahedron.website wants to work on, if we can make sense of the C# wrappers to the Mastodon API.

@kara_dreamer close twitter and all other Mastodon instance but mine and your writing account.

All right, @kara_dreamer. I think is uppermost on our mind right now...well, with the possible exception of @kel's mind, to which it is difficult indeed to ascribe the quality of "uppermost"

@masklayer Not always an easy one, to be sure. My bad habit has always been eating the food too early, not out of hunger but out of boredom and a desire for pleasurable sensation on an unpleasant job.

Kara, I am giving you another eight minutes, till 11, and then I am tugging on your leash again. @kara_dreamer

I would like a reminder bot for that I can send a message to, and then it would message me back at the appropriate time.

Network Nostalgia. ♥️

@mawr oh, agreed! I liked the sounds. also a Pearl Point for your phreaking skills. :=3

Network Nostalgia. ♥️

I miss the ritual of connecting to the internet back in the days of dialup. Today we're just always online which is neat, but not as special, y'know?

I was just remembering the late dialup days of crossing your fingers and hoping you'll get a good connection, the full 56k v.92 handshake that gave you the best upload speeds for playing games online.

I used to be able to sing the handshake for 9600 baud well enough to fool modems into attempting a connection.

@pnathan a Pearl Point for one of the more charming possible "Hobbit" references
