My greatest folly was thinking that coming into work early would be in any way salubrious.
The second I walked in the door, I found out that someone had hacked into the display I put up for work announcements, analytics, and employee recognition...to play porn.
Loud and in public, resonating through the shop floor.
That should have been an indicator on how the day would go.

As I walked into the server room, I noticed someone had blocked off all the new ventilation I had set up for the tower hypervisor with plastic detritus, resulting in overheating and server-side data loss.
As a matter of fact, the entire room was a fire hazard all weekend!

Since I'm about the only other person aside from HR that goes out of their way to talk to the employees on a regular basis, I'm also the face of when something goes wrong.
Which means my suggestion box for the display is also the vent box for the disenfranchised, and I opened it to find several slips of paper opening with, "That nigglet in IT."

This is, of course, on top of all my other duties as the IT/HR generalist, but what capped of the day and made me want to just turn in was the fact that we had five SA cases to field because men are running up behind women to grope them while they look at the aforementioned display.
