Friendly Reminder: There is a #Humblebundle sale going on for another ~4 days or so, allowing you to get a bunch of nifty #games for quite a bit cheaper.
I will now proceed to recommend some games that I personally enjoy a lot.
(Most of which will be cheap-ish, cause I'm poor, and run on Linux, because that's what I use.)
Humble Sale game recommendation
First: "Beat Hazard Ultra" https://www.humblebundle.com/store/beat-hazard-ultra
Beat Hazard is a very flashy bullethell shooter. You know, spaceship, glowing lasers, etc. The special think about it is that it builds the levels from music files you give it.
It's fun, it's challenging and it runs on more or less all OS. There is 2 player coop and duel modes as well.
Wanna shoot swarms of enemies to colorful graphics while rocking out to your favorite tunes?
Check out Beat Hazard.
Humble Sale game recommendation
"Monaco" ( https://www.humblebundle.com/store/monaco-whats-yours-is-mine ) is a 2D coop heist game, playable over local coop or online multiplayer using Steam.
Join 3 other players and play through various break-ins and commit delicious virtual crime.
My only criticism is that, unless you have three friends with Monaco and time to spare, you'll probably have to play with strangers over the net, which, to me, can be anxiety inducing in coop games.

@minx vector Thrust is like the ace combat fangame that somehow completely effed up the actual gameplay and made it super slow
Humble Sale game recommendation
@synthgal That sounds ... bad.
Humble Sale game recommendation
@minx I couldn't even beat the first mission because missile lock was so bad too
Humble Sale game recommendation
@synthgal It scratched mine, but I have never played Vector Thrust, so I can't say how it compares to that.
On it there seems to be a demo version available, so you could try that before buying: https://nihilocrat.itch.io/sky-rogue
