At the top of everyone's computer security threat models should be:
1. Silicon Valley is run by a clique of unaccountable billionaires at least some of whom are actual Nazis, or at least Nazi-curious and find Nazis sympathetic and interesting and worth hearing out because they have important and fun ideas
2. The United States Government, as of 2017, is run by people who are actual Nazis and also Russian Mafia
Yet very few Silicon Valley Best Practices seem to take #1 into account
RT @tobyfox@twitter.com: UNDERTALE will be releasing for Nintendo Switch in September in all regions!!! (Exact date still forthcoming!!!)
Obviously you can download the game on release, but if you wanted to pre-order the physical collector's edition, do it here on Fangamer.
(UT merch is also on sale!!) https://twitter.com/Fangamer/status/1029006544417869829
that said, props to the producers of the video for explicitly calling out e-mail as an insecure method of communication
update: the mandatory ethics training just got to the information security section
allow me to revise my previous statement to "100% of it can be summed up as 'don't do shit you want to punch out sales for doing'"
(and the fact that 90% of the training can be summed up as "you know all that shit you want to punch sales in the face for doing? you shouldn't do it either")
every time i watch a company-mandated ethics training video, i get the feeling that this is what happened to all the people who made "teaching Christianity to kids" videos back in the 80s
mind you, this isn't meant as an attack on the concept of ethics training, b/c i fully understand its importance
it's more of an attack on the production values of the training

@admin hey, quick question if you don't mind: how did anticapitalist.party end up on the harassment suspension list?
