just before i woke up i dreamt that there was a new genre of poetry where, in between each stanza, you include a link to a relevant tv tropes article and an excerpt of it that leads into the next stanza
i can't even give you an example of what i mean because i think it's too high concept for my puny mind
@typhlosion this makes me think of both Fist of the North Star, where the same pressure point arts Kenshiro uses to make people's heads explode can be wielded to heal them instead
and FFXIV, where the Monk class gets a "Solar Nadi" and "Lunar Nadi" they charge by performing Blitz attacks which leads up to their super finishing move

@Nick_Craver i for one am certain that the AI apocalypse will not be the product of some singularity unilaterally deciding that the extermination of humanity is a moral or practical imperative but rather the result of Elon Musk or someone in his crowd ordering some critical value tweaked in some system he does not understand which ends up having some catastrophic, civilization-rending cascade effect
Gustavo and Brick's whole thing in Pizza Tower is one of my favorite video game story arcs in recent memory and it's told entirely via background animations without a single shred of dialogue

My child told me they need a topic for an argumentative essay they have to write for school.
I am happy to announce they are now writing an essay on how cash bail for non-violent offenses merely serves to deprive the poor of their right to a presumption of innocence and the ability to effectively defend themselves.
