New blog post! I take a look at the Master System 3-D Glasses, and how they worked at a technical level. Check it out! https://nicole.express/2023/the-third-dimension-and-the-eight-bits.html
The Anarchic Kingdom is a game I released for a game jam back in 2021. For #msdos on the #ibmpc with #cga graphics (like just about everything I've done recently). Graphically inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, it uses a nice but unusual palette (red, green, brown, with a white background instead of the usual black). I intend to do a play through and post the results on here over the coming weeks.

Now, what I'm really looking for is *high-resolution* scans of the old Colossal Cave maps described in this paper:

The 1845 Stephen Bishop map is here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Stephen_Bishop_1842_Map_of_Mammoth_Cave,_Kentucky_-_Hi-Res.jpg
(I realize that modern maps are super-high-density and may not be available for download! But the historic ones must be somewhere.)
