@KitRedgrave we finally did that last year and it was a lot of fun. we want to do it again sometime, and learn to do it by ourselves.

Two books that have really impacted our own practice are
Trance-Portation by Diana L. Paxson which teaches visionary techniques.
A Deed Without a Name by Lee Morgan which has practical and historical knowledge of traditional witchcraft
We don't really have recommendations for books that give an overview of many magical practices but we do have podcast recommendations for that if you're interested

Oregon State University's Open Source Lab in Corvallis, Oregon and was featured for many years as an example server in the manpages for rcirc.
