it's a little bit dark in one area (which is like... vikings-ish. northrend vibes lol), but i really like the punch up in color for things like the butterflies.

another day i'll probably look at other people's presets and see if i can play off somebody else's good ideas instead of just trying stuff straight out the box with no modification, but....

@InspectorCaracal yeah, it is, alas :( i believe it's free-to-start up to a certain level though? and the subscription isn't that terrible (it's less than 'proper mmorpgs', and comes with a weekly allowance of the special money).

honestly i scooped up a "pay once for lifetime sub" thing awhile back which means i get to be really chill about it. no fussing about handing them money every month or guilt about "but i paid so i gotta". and i get the allowance of coins when i'm not playing so lol.

i will say that altho i appreciate my secret shame mmo keeping it rather lo-tech, even in bits they're redoing, to make it as accessible as possible so that Grandma's Old Computer can run it

@InspectorCaracal they used to be Much Worse (for the starter horses especially) but thankfully they've redone things significantly! i ragged on the company a whole lot about a year ago all "oh that's a lot of big talk about improving the game ya dicks where's the beef" and i'll be damned they're actually doing it lmfao
