@chucker @heartles@pdx.social by being deep into racing lingo but not having social justice issues on your radar. 'eliminating' is pretty common in the racing lingo from what i remember, holding no connotations the way it does in other spaces. it's just sort of alongside disqualification, etc. but on a larger scale/slightly different action (a specific racer is dq'd, a car race itself is eliminated). i can see how you could dumbshit your way into that more or less.

i did see ulta has all the shades of the morphe foundation on display and was all "oh nice, i can see if i actually have a shade match" because, well, my skin thinks the color yellow is fake news, so it is difficult.

unfortunately the tester hiccuped so i ended up doing a swatch of my entire elbow to wrist Whoops.

has anyone had any experience using elastic laces in boots, or especially the silicon lace replacements in boots? things like pictures, "hickies" (yeah that's literally a brand name of a variant of these things lol), stuff like that?

i'm guessing i'll have to stick to just regular elastic laces but my #spoonie butt would appreciate some options for making a pair of boots easier to wear.
