@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online i know you're probably going to come back with "but freedom is more important than petty political squabbles!"

which, honestly, lets me know that you have never - and will never - be under pressure from these groups. you're well insulated from them. you don't even think they're a threat.

and you think that way because you've been steadfastly ignoring voices who *ARE* under threat from these people.

i would urge you to get out of your bubble and consider their freedom to live.

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online if someone doesn't want to make their app useless to the "many users" that are organizing to spread hate speech, that's a clear political action. and the political action is "neo-nazis are valuable members i want to make sure has access to using my piece of software, to the point where i'm going to ensure they are included."

this is still, as it were, aiding and abetting the enemy. this is why people are mad - and you should be too.

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online and this still ends up benefitting the Nazis here by giving them a platform. this is still a deeply political action.

anyone who can shrug and say "d'oh well, too much work, ho-hum, it's just politics" can only come at it from a mountain of privilege, honestly. all of the people a neo-Nazi would like to see dead cannot say "it's just politics" and park it at the door, after all.

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online @switchingsocial@mastodon.at @rugk @dublinux@mastodon.technology @mastalab and well, if the logic is "i can't make one decision, because then i would have to make more decisions, and that would be too much work", that's not really a moral victory as much as it is just laziness. at that point you're saying that you know people are getting harmed, and you COULD not contribute to that harm, but that's too much work and you can't be bothered to help stem the tide of flourishing systems out to kill others.

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online @switchingsocial@mastodon.at @rugk @dublinux@mastodon.technology @mastalab there are many, many people who *cannot* step away from politics. especially when the politics being discussed here are "should these groups of people be allowed to live".

viewing politics as something you can park at the door and leave behind entirely shows a pretty naiive view of what politics is, as if it's a game of table tennis instead of how society is structured.

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online @switchingsocial@mastodon.at @rugk @dublinux@mastodon.technology @mastalab this is... a pretty naiive point of view.

deciding not to make any political decisions is, by its nature, *also* a political decision. it's privilege that allows someone the option of being "not political". the effect is still going to be political, and you can't just absolve yourself of responsibility for it by saying "well i didn't MEAN anything political buy it", especially if your action-of-inaction is helping harm others.

egregious bad selfie time

i look a bit of a fright because this is after going out and i only remembered OH RIGHT I WANTED TO TAKE A PICTURE until i changed into my pjs

however

t-rex necklace

t-rexlace

(cw for eye contact)

finally did something other than faff around in botw and urbosa is... absolutely the best team mom

she's gonna be there after i defeat ganon with orange slices and capri suns

this is the whole setup of botw2, incidentally. shit goes down 'cos she makes link go and give the loser a high-five because it's Good Sportsmanship

@sandrockcstm i ponder this question, and then ask if i can get some clarification about if mr mime's dick is as good as Ash's mom leads me to believe

the djinn kills me instantly

hello tag, please have this

[ignis voice] *snaps fingers* that's it! i've come up with a new mspaint abomination!

in which a wigglytuff sees stuff float by on fedi

"what tusky is doing to gab users is morally wrong and against the spirit of open source software because -"

hhhHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA

yeah that's gonna be a preemptive block from me right there buddy

i was trying to do a "sans undertale" style joke, but i realize now when i call him Mr. Link Zelda it just makes it sound like he took zelda's last name when they got married except zelda only has one name so they were just like "oh tack it on anyway, good enough" and/or Princess is her first name and Zelda is her last name

LoZ cosplayer (lots of skin, sfw)

@Sapphicgiraffic@snouts.online every so often i just get confirmations of my cishet nature because i'm not all "wow nice" but instead "wow, the red outline of her bikini looks almost photoshopped! i don't think it is actually on closer inspection, but that's a lucky shot with it being able to lay on the body preserving that graphical punch. i wonder what it's made out of. some kinda knit perhaps, looks like?" while simultaneously staring at this poor cosplayer's crotch

uspol (+++), big caps energy

@eightbitsamurai@elekk.xyz apparently the alt-right Trumpers are so upset by this that they've vowed to boycott Harvard

you know, the ivy league university that none of them have a snowball's chance in hell of attending. that Harvard

it's fucking *hilarious*

@Canageek@cybre.space it is 10/10 incredibly worth it. idk how twirly kilts are due to fabric but if you find a like lightweight broomstick skirt that just happens to be in your size you can try on? do it. twirl. fuckin GREAT

@Canageek@cybre.space you *could* but i'd think that runs slightly more of a risk of pantsing yourself

at least compared to, like, a dress with pockets. which is what i am envisioning because if you do a full skirt, you can shove all kinda shit in your pockets before it gets obvious, AND you get to twirly, so that's a win-win

@Canageek@cybre.space (deleted and redrafted because i accidentally a word as to make it pure nonsense. well done me)

@Canageek@cybre.space yeah but have you ever tried to gleefully stick your hands in your utility belt? it don't work as good
