i also just now noticed that i'm about to run out of cbd oil pills so that's another thing to tomorrow's schedule

(i am gonna make some sticker + candy packs for the home depot 'rescue delivery' guys which i'm p sure is corpspeak for 'we're making a manager take one of the pickups we rent and deal with this' because they didn't deserve to deal with shit rolling downhill square onto their shoulders)

at least i know where the fuck the furniture i ordered is now. also trust no bitch at estes express. well ok the employees are probably all right but this is all because estes said they could do the delivery for home depot, then said "actually we can't make it to your house at all lol", after sending out the delivery guy to go rack up more tickets apparently and leaving him out to dry, at which point estes sat on its thumbs and refused to do anything at all with my shit

the other essay i'd be writing if i was still living that english major life:

pixellation and intentional lo-fi graphics in video games functioning in horror as an 'offscreen' or 'seeing it happen in silhouette' - not showing details = actually scarier as the audience gets to fill in the blanks

ref. the secret room challenge mode cutscenes in #fnaf sister location, lone survivor/obra dinn?, heavily compare to silence of the lambs (where worst horror is offscreen, more impactful for it)

lofi music : high-fidelity music quality in other genres :: pixel art : high-quality 3d rendering standard in many other games

intentional invocation of nostalgia, easier for 'little guy' artists to lean into in terms of work they can do with free/amateur tools, and has grown into a specific genre in its own right with almost exclusively "indie" cred

like it's very nice but we can just call it modern jazz i'm pretty sure. it's ok jazz is nice! it can just be jazz. it doesn't have to be "lofi and chillhop" it can be just jazz

so i curiously clicked on "24/7 Christmas Lofi & Chillhop Radio" even tho i usually listen to city pop radio and guys

is lofi and chillhop just a variant of jazz? because this feels like a variant of jazz. i think it's just jazz y'all

anyhoodle i think my #christmas spirit is finally kicking in but uh... (looks at calendar) if we could insert, like, another week, it'd be really nice, as it is this particular mood souffle is not going to have enough time to rise before we gotta yank it out of the oven

it's not a moral issue for a lot of this stuff - i mean there are kinks where definitely, you can get into a moral quagmire, but i'm saying there's things where we just have to get off that train of thought at an earlier stop. it's sad and frustrating, but kink MUST be safe. IT MUST BE. it's okay for a kink to live only in fiction and in the mind's eye with the knowledge it's just too dangerous to do in real life.
