Still pondering whether I buy the xperia x and flash sailfish on it or if I stay with this Galaxy A5 I got now. The LineageOS version on it is still on 14.1 (Android 7) and I just love updating things. Meanwhile Sailfish is gonna get Sailfish 3 next month or soon. Decisions, decisions. But I tend to "yay" more than "nay". Will decide in the next few minutes.

I don't use discord and try to abstain from botnets like that as much as possible. They are enemies of my freedom.

@brandon LFS is just a manual that teaches you to put your own distro together. You won't really get anything out of it unless you actually intend to do that. If you really want to build your own system like it was lego, Arch Linux has everything you need and a good wiki as a starting point to boot. I never bothered with that, since Antergos and Manjaro exist in that ecosystem, but ymmv.

@brandon none in the current day, imho. There was one back when cpus were still slow and compiling things with -o2 yielded a proper advantage over 'regularly' compiled stuff. @hntooter Neat. I've been using mullvad because they offer wireguard for months now. Really works great. The lack of an easy to set up killswitch at connection loss is a bummer for all current vpn protocols though.
