Is there a word to specifically describe a standalone piece of short writing of any kind, maybe a page or two? I think that's too short to call a "short story".
@ruth Didn't know about drabble, thanks. It seems like an odd gap in the language.
@BatElite if you like sci/fi or horror, there’s a great short story podcast called the Drabblecast. I got introduced to it there. They always read 1 drabble and 1 story (and it taught me how effective 100 words can be)
@BatElite Under 1,000 words is usually flash fiction
@BatElite I think the definitions normally have the top of the word range vs a bottom as long as it’s kind of a story. 100 words exactly is a Drabble but.... hmm. No, I can’t think of it.
