I can see how the fast-burn pacing of memes on Mastodon could irritate some people, but honestly it's nice to have goofy meme humor that doesn't feel like slimy chan crap or the product of hyperactive callout culture.

One thing I like is how little of it sticks around even after a day or so, compared to how long memes usually go on. Especially the occasional one where the joke just becomes tricking people who are sick of it into looking at it.

@BatElite The short run time also keeps people from forming that weird chan-type psychological attachment to "my memes" that's so common in online fascism, as far as I can tell, which is another plus.
