Maplestory 2 definitely has a lot going for it, but the bunny ears you can get in it don't wiggle, so...

also I really liked the game until I came to the stark realization that I'd have to run FD a few hundred times to get to their endgame content, I'm still doing it but it is suffering

That... is actually exactly where I'm at with the game, tbh :/
Like, you need to run FD hundreds of times, and then you need to hope you can find a sufficiently hardcore group that can actually finish the chaos raids >_>
Like.. my partner and I run a fairly casual guild, and we've basically been eyeing the current content set sort of wondering what we're supposed to be doing, since it'll be ages before our folks are anywhere near ready for it >_>

@Freya Like, I wouldn't mind there being ultra-top-tier hardcore content that mere mortals like myself can't really access --- if there was actually a decent amount of content that was actually accessible... but there isn't.
It just seems way too premature for them to make content that is basically gated off by hardcore RNGishness.
I want to love the game, so much. But... they're... not really making it easy. ^^;
@Chel yeah it's a really dumb content wall that they put up tbh, it's bad enough that they required 4500 gear score, something that most players won't reach without a lot of farming. but then, they made it impossible to clear even by their own recommended standards written in the raid description in game
@Chel yeah, it's sorta bullshit lol, you need a +13 at the very least (ugh), at least 16% piercing and phys/magical piercing (more ugh), and several sockets with attack gemstones (even more ugh)
I'm almost ready to go back to pso2 at this rate lol, ms2 is too rng dependent
