@Chel @KitRedgrave Mom had an electronic typewriter that could be used both in manual mode (keypress == action) and word processor mode (composition happens on a built-in screen (with automatic line wrapping!), then you press a button to have it type out the whole message in one shot).

It was a lot of fun to play with, and we definitely used playing with it as an excuse to write more physical letters than we otherwise would have.
