@Chel my favourite way of forcing yourself out of bed that I'd heard is to have a coffee machine set to make coffee on a timer, and leave the carafe aside. That way you either wake up to put a cup under for fresh coffee, or you get woken up by roommates pissed that you got coffee all over the kitchen floor.

years back, I'd just set a radio alarm half way between two AM radio stations (one of which tended toward religious talk shows) at max volume
...the resulting horrific cacophony was probably really bad for my heart, but always got me up and awake with no possibility of grogginess or relapsing back into bed 😅
...i like the coffee solution more
