I kind of want to fill birbsite with crossposted toots… but… birbsite is maybe not a good place for my toots. Even my public toots. What would birbsite do with them? Meow.

@maunzikation I would never use a crossposter ^^ It's just 2 completely different worlds and sets of people and uuuh, nope. I'm not half as comfortable posting things on birdsite ...

@Jules I'm not completely comfortable either, I just… idk I want a visible reminder that I left birbsite, and that I left it for this place. I might turn it off again soon. Idk idk idk.

@maunzikation you could make a bot that sends a tweet every time you post something mastodon that says: "I just wrote something very interesting on Mastodon" 🤖 :blobjoy:

@minx and and and THEN there could be a version that does sentiment analysis on the toot to choose appropriate emoji!!

@maunzikation @Jules
Hmmm, yes. It's a relly cool tool and I love that it's pretty customizable, but yeah, will probably turn that part off.

@minx @Jules I get a bit sad sometimes with tweets being crossposted here, because it gives me this "mastodon is dead, everyone is back on birbsite" feeling. I actually like it the other way round, I'm just not super sure if I want allmy public toots to actually appear there.

@maunzikation @minx Oh no I just discovered that your boosts go to birbsite as well. So you actually distribute other peoples toots over there. It doesn't feel so good without asking ...

I know it's public and all that... maybe I only can toot private then.

@minx @Jules okay, i switched it off and deleted the tweet. i didn't think that through, i had it switched on because i though it was a cool way to show what mastodon is about – but ofc it tweets /everything/ i boost and uh, no, not good.
