hey folks, why is so much software so lacking? is it me having too high standards? am i focusing too much on the bad parts? or is it everyone as a whole settling for subpar things? is it on some devs not having the know-how or time to get things polished? am i just wrong? is this a seventh question?

@LaserScheme "What's the deal" was Seinfeld's own joke about how a bad joke starts, but despite not actually employing it except in a meta-joke context it became irrevocably associated with him. What a great curse.
