@codl mine would have been a few months ago, in an attempt to install Windows 7 32bit on a computer with only USB3 ports so the Win7 installer would boot off USB and then go "where the fuck is my installation media"

@theoutrider @codl I mean the fact that Windows 7 wouldn't recognise the USB3 ports after booting in the middle of install. Was there no way to force the bios to shift to a legacy USB 2 mode?

@Nine @codl and the issue is that there's just no 32bit driver for Intel's USB3 controller at all, fallback mode or otherwise

@Nine @codl Intel don't supply 32-bit USB3 drivers so while the bootloader works because it talks to UEFI direct, the installer - which is a minimal Windows environment itself - doesn't have USB3 drivers and goes "?????"

@theoutrider @codl oh my GOD O_O; bloody hell intel why?? I mean I had an issue with intel's UEFI shit stopping a Saitek X52 Pro stick from functioning entirely so we had to use the bios to shove it into legacy USB2 mode to make it work, because again, Intel apparently has buggy UEFI shit. This was on an x64 machine though.
