I hate it when people still believe the "phone in rice" thing, rice is not a desiccant, just let it dry for as long as possible or use sth like silica gel

the only thing that's good about putting your phone in rice is that you'll leave it alone and not try to power it on while it's still wet

@noiob i feel like people who actually do the phone in rice thing haven't actually... thought about what happens when rice grains get even the slightest bit wet.

@noiob the answer is the rice stays dry and doesn't soak up much water, and you just end up with hard uncooked grains of rice that are now wet and sticking to things because of the water's surface tension.

@Nine @noiob the solution here is to boil the phone with the rice so it absorbs the water /s

@sam @noiob i mean clearly. That's what makes rice absorb water after all. boil your phones with rice in water to extract the water from boiling them with rice.
