i'm just imagining a serial killer just... murdering people, then just suddenly going "oh jeez hold up I need to use the net" and then logging onto the family pc, doing some googling, checking facebook, then being disgusted at their security set up, so tweaking their router, but having to write down their own phone's IP to get back on the net to check it out more, and forgetting they wrote it down on a scrap piece of paper before they leave.
