Zink, hm~?
@notegirlnikki Zero INK, it’s thermal printing in color.
@fillertrack @notegirlnikki yo what
colour thermal printer!? :O
@Nine basically the way it works is there’s different layers of dyes that react at different temperatures.
@fillertrack that's a VERY cool idea to be honest. I just looked it up and apparently though a lot of them dont' do very high quality printings. ;; which is a shame because that's such cool tech.
@Nine for the size of the paper it’s fine, just 2x3 inches. But I have found that complex color pics have some nasty artifacting. Like the colors come out all wrong. Probably the heating element isn’t fine tuned enough to get the dye mixture right fast enough.
@fillertrack oh dang that sounds amazing. I kinda want one now. Wonder how easy they are to get?
@Nine I bought mine cheap on eBay and my store had a bunch of paper for cheap
@Nine @fillertrack I've seen them in stores, there's "Polaroid" cameras with them built-in too. Costs quite a bit though, especially the special paper
