oh no i found out the sf30 pro pad i bought is actually a discontinued one aaaa i shoulda chcekd the website mayube that's why it was cheap.
... oh well
I mean there's an SF30 Pro + which... looks super comfy? Maybe I'll upgrade sometime.
@Felthry it super duper DOES look nice and I'm wishing I'd held off? but also glad I didn't? Because this pad is great and its only issue is that Windows keeps bloody disconnecting it in the middle of trying to play games which is very frustrating and I cannot pin down if it's just windows being a fuck or if it's the front USB ports on my pc case being garbage and wiggly.
... it could be both tbqh.
@Felthry (actually it's almost certainly the usb ports considering it sometimes happens with my bloody ps4 pad as well when it's wired in ugh)
@Felthry aw no i just found out it only comes in kinda basic colours or the kinda ugly (at least to me) US SNES pad colours with the concave rather than convex buttons ;w; I'm gonna miss my pretty coloured buttons ;w;
@Nine aw, that's unfortunate
are you sure it has concave buttons though? the SN30 pro doesn't (I am looking at one right now and the buttons are all convex)
@Felthry The one with the US Snes colours seems to at least, the other variants though are Switch Pro Controller styled so they're glossy black and glossy white instead. Which is... kinda okay I guess? Not my preferred colourations tho. need my multicolours ;w;
@Nine that's weird because the SN30 Pro (which is the US-styled one of the previous series) has all convex buttons
@Nine and aa i don't like glossy controllers, they get fingerprints
@Nine it is? does that actually change anything
@pup_hime It's got a few extra features, aside from a way comfier looking form factor, and being slightly bigger, there's also a utility you can use to map the buttons however you want, adjust analogue stick response and so on and so forth, which is pretty nice. Kinda like the "elite" pad for the Xbone, except not as prohibitively expensive (and also without the ability to physically swap out components too ah well)
@Nine no i mean does the sf30 being discontinued change anything
@pup_hime Oh. Probably not, it still seems to get firmware updates so far at least.
@Nine ah I didn't know they'd done a redesign! now i wish i had the pro+ instead of the old one but that woul dhave meant waiting a lot longer to get one
anyway the pro+ looks really nice
