gotta say the new ultraman anime on netflix was... pretty good?

Like, I mean sure some of it was pretty tropey, like the standard cishet relationship stuff yawn yawn dull dull seen it before whatever, typical superpowered boy shonen type stuff

but the fight scenes were really well done?? and the quality of the animation is such that the fights looked almost like live action Tokusatsu sequences, WITHOUT going into uncanny valley territory. I was very impressed to be honest.
