Okay so... Where are all the dads in Pokémon games?
Like I think only ruby and sapphire has your character actually have a father and a mother and both appear in game...

several games have your *rivals* have dads, at least: Silver's dad is Giovanni (this is not explicitly stated in game though), Professor Birch is May/Brendan's dad, Palmer is Barry's dad, Bianca's dad shows up in gen 5 (and appears to be abusive...), Ghetsis is N's adoptive father
@Felthry ah I totally forgot about Silver from gen2! I thought it was confirmed he was Giovanni's son though?
@Nine it might be explicitly stated in HGSS actually, but I know it was confirmed before then, and it's not explicitly stated in GSC
