I just had a #CrazyIdea !
Take an old theater play, e.g. something by Shakespeare or the like.
Build a separate bot/account for each character - and possibly a narrator.
And then have the bots perform the play as microblogging!

Please don't steal my idea. I will need approximately two point six years to implement it. After that this idea is up for grabs.

@zatnosk question is, do you just use markov chain bots and feed them just the lines of their respective parts, or do you just have htem try and spit out the lines in order?

@Nine no, not markov bots, there's enough of them already :P

I just want the bots to put on the play and perform it "virtually". Possibly in real time, if it takes place over suitable timeframe.

@zatnosk @Nine the idea is that you have a play script and you throw it at a program and it makes your actor accounts act out the play

@InspectorCaracal @Nine this made me think one could make actual actor-bots. As in, characters that are the actors, and just change their display name when "putting on a costume".

@InspectorCaracal @zatnosk would that not also retroactively change the display name of their other characters?

@Nine @InspectorCaracal sure, but that just highlights the current performance, and adds a layer of obscurity and absurdity to bygone performances.
