ah man I really like this mario picross game but...
mario's levels help you too much. hf.
also the one help it COULD do with is letting you know when you've filled in a bunch of numbers
like uh...
how Picross S does it and how World's Biggest Picross on my phone does. It lets you know when you've say got a set of clues on a line and you're sure that the 4 that's in there can only go in one place so you plonk it in and the 4 gets crossed off on the clue so you know you've done the only 4.
@Nine kinda want to do picross again, we haven't found a good one for our phone....
@Felthry Well, if you're on android I can recommend a couple (they might also exist on iPhone but I dunno). the Konami one is pretty good apart from the fact the boss levels only unlock every 3 hours and it seems fairly short (I completed all the non boss levels REAL fast so I now gotta wait for all the boss levels to unlock and do them every three hours or so x_x; and unless the one that's unlocked is completed you won't get the next one argh)
World's Biggest Picture Cross is great too!
@Nine is this some new mario picross or are you talking about the same gameboy one that we have?
@Felthry the same gameboy one you have, technically, as the SNES one is the same game but... in colour or something?
@Felthry (but also on the SNES and such)
@Felthry anyway yeah, https://www.appynation.com/apps/worlds-biggest-picture-cross/
The only downside I found is that this one only has two sets of colour puzzles and I love the colour ones. ;;
It keeps getting updates tho!
Finally, Picross Luna is apparently really good too for phones! So far I've found it's pretty great, though it has some slight control issues occasionally on my phone.
@Nine The big thing we care about is we want it to be no ads and no microtransactions, do those fit those criteria? we are on android
@Felthry Hmm, okay, the Konami one has no ads except for ones that pop up advertising Konami games when you enter the game and also sometimes between levels but they aren't video ads, and you can just click the close box, and there are no microtransactions.
WBPC DOES have microtransactions, though as far as I know doesn't have popup ads? I think? You get tokens that allow you to unlock levels, and you can earn tokens in various ways, including replaying completed levels (which use coins)
@Felthry I think Picross Luna has no microtransactions, but again, does have ads, moreso than the Konami one, but I forget.
That's the one help feature I like.
the mario snes picross game is good but... it doesn't do that. the help it offers is auto correcting you if you make a flagrant mistake (which also reduces the time left) but if you don't REALISE you're about ot make a mistake it feels like you accidentally pressed the button twice so you make the same mistake repeatedly and then run outta time. pff.
