@jk ironically even the most high tech power generation machines are all just extrapolations on steam power.
heat water, get steam, pressurise steam, put steam through turbine, generate power.
It's all super inefficient heat trasnfer (except wind and hydroelectric I guess but really when you think about it wind is just really cold steam and hydroelectric is just using very very wet and heavy steam that's super super dense)
@Nine those big solar plants with the mirrors too, they just focus sunlight on a heat exchanger pretty much
@jk oh wait except photoelectric cells they don't use steam.
and they're pretty bad at generating power too, but hey whatchagonna do. it ain' a steamyboy.
