@heytanuki@snouts.online Yeah apparently it's because of the way USB and PS/2 actually handle data.
If I've read this right, and if it's correct, USB is "Poll" based, so it basically blips on the regular, constantly, or something, and PS/2 is Interrupt based, so it literally is silent until a key is pressed, whereupon it goes "YO THIS KEY GOT PRESSED, RESPOND" to the BIOS and the Bios either goes "yah k reading you loud and clear" or "fuck, sorry, someone else interrupted me, what'd you say?"
@heytanuki@snouts.online As such, keyboards that support n-key rollover and have a ps/2 plug, but where they're used with a PS/2 to usb adapter, will lose nkey rollover, whereas a keyboard that is USB but supports nkr, and is conencted via USB to Ps/2 adapter, WILL have nkr.
