i like the fact that the earliest human whose name we know wasn't some great king or hero or anything, they were just an accountant keeping inventory at some kind of warehouse dedicated to beer ingredients, whose name happens to be on the earliest known tablet that clearly has an individual's name on it (one of the tablets they used for record-keeping)

@Felthry i love little tidbits of history like this. :D Like how there's like... I think... a greek guy? Who we know about purely from the fact the guy was a shady business man who kept ripping off his customers, and he KEPT all his hatemail. like, people were angry enough that they carved TABLETS to express their hatred for him, not just temporary slates. Actual carved tablets of stone. and he KEPT THEM. like, screw the guy for his shady practices, but... ngl, that's kinda a hilarious flex.
