One issue I can see with Mastodon's follower-only toots is you don't actually get a full picture of what it's like to follow someone until you do.
I've had to back out before after someone's content turns out to be too much for me and I sorta worry about what it'd look like if I did that right after following someone. Probably just unnecessary worry though.

@NovaSquirrel so far, whenever I requested to follow people, I never ended up neck deep in sadboi posting afterwards, so I wouldn't really worry lol

@Freya The bigger worry for me is not wanting my timeline to get neck-deep in horny like it has before, on account of being asexual. Usually people keep that marked public though I think?
