It's a bombastic story with twists and turns, the music is memorable enough to hold up the show basically on its own, the choreography is clean and decisive... like, if you can wholeheartedly stan RENT in 2020, then Hamilton should be a no-brainer
The point here about Rent is that there are a handful of queer/poc/high-subversion musicals that have hit the popular culture sphere, and people are far more willing to defend the nostalgic ones (that have aged very poorly) over the newcomers.
