As an adult, I have made peace with the idea that my parents must have had sex, but as an only child, I am comforted by the fact that it was just the one time.

So you don't have nightmares about the time you walked past your parents' bedroom door, just in time to hear them moaning and panting?
@ScottSoCal @UncleDuke1969 It could be worse. Our eldest (now 28) recently told us that she walked in on us as a child without us noticing.
Me: um... how much did you see?
Adult child: "well, now I can say, 'yay Dad! Good man, for being so diligent with your mouth!' But the door was behind you, so I got an eyeful of your... everything. It was... yeah. Traumatizing."
