I'm pretty sure the neighborhood birds think Scooter is a predator, because they fly off when I take her outside, but all she really wants is to be friends. She loves watching the neighborhood birds through the window.

The funny thing is, they love her outdoor cage. I have a big stainless steel cage I thought might be nice for her to get sunshine. With avian flu, I stopped using it, but the sparrows and finches love it. If something scary (crows, hawks, whatever) flies over the feeder, they dart into the cage, because they can fit between the bars. Stay there until scary thing is gone, then back to the feeder.

Well I’m glad they feel like they have a safe place to go. I like to go hide behind the clock on the bookshelf when I see something scary.
