Anyone who thinks Republicans will blink on the debt ceiling might want to think again. This is the party that wants to abolish the IRS, deregulate anything that stands in the way of profit and is looking to establish a new world order.

To them this represents an opportunity not a problem to be solved. It’s likely the only key item of legislation over which the can exert real pressure and they are not averse to burning down the house.
