I own 2 guns, a handgun and a shotgun. They're both registered, I practice with them, and I follow gun safety guidelines. I also support background checks, and I support CA laws that say the police are required to take my guns if I'm unstable. I have them to protect lives - not stuff, I don't think stealing my TV is worth someone's life. But if someone wants to harm me or my family, that's a different story.

I grew up with them, and I only got one when my other half told me he wanted me to get a gun and teach him how to use it. We're a gay couple, and what's going on now in the US is scaring both of us.
