Number 2 in my series of convertibles in my life. I bought this 1961 Thunderbird convertible for $500. This is the only photo I ever took, while it was warming up in the driveway on a November morning. The interior was
light blue. To this day the "bullet Bird" design is one of my favorite cars ever! This was the very first convertible I ever owned. I was 17, a senior in high school.

If we're talking our own babies, this one was mine: 1978 Mercedes 450SL. I brought her back from a grisly fate, and when there was nothing else to fix, I passed her on to someone who would enjoy her. Lost a bucket of money, but enjoyed every minute of it. Sorry, it's a phone picture of a picture I keep in my office.
