Adventures in #beekeeping. Now that Wednesday afternoon’s swarm is settled, it’s time to start moving the #bees a few feet at a time towards the other hives. This is my first experience dealing with a swarm, so learning something new every day.

I carry an epi-pen in case of bee sting, but I've learned I can get very close and watch them, as long as I'm not wearing certain colors, and don't do anything threatening. We've got lots of bee-friendly plants in our yard, and a fountain they like to drink from.
@ScottSoCal I need to talk to my doc about getting an epi-pen prescribed. I had a random & strange allergic reaction to a nutrition bar about a month ago - first time that’s ever happened. Gave me enough of a scare that I figure I should start carrying one with me, just in case.
