I do that at work in meetings. They'll start wandering off the topic - or worse, the whole meeting could have been an email - and I have no problem reining it back in.
A customer sent an email with questions about a current contract. The Systems Engineer sent out a meeting invite for next week, to "get on the same page", then forwarded us the email. It was basic stuff, just needed answers. I answered, customer is happy. SE canceled the meeting.
