A thing that comes up because of last night...
Anyone else in here have lucid dreams? You know you're dreaming, and you can either change the dream, or wake yourself up? I get nightmares fairly often, but most of the time I tell myself (in the dream) that I'm dreaming and change it. If it won't change, I can wake myself up. I've read it isn't common generally, but is it maybe more common with autism?

@ScottSoCal @actuallyautistic I have had lucid dreams my entire life but much more so when I was younger, probably late teens through late twenties. Once I realized it I knew if I woke up from a bad dream I could go back to sleep and change the outcome. Then after some of that I realized I could change a dream the first go round, as it was happening. I could also fly in dreams, very realistic feeling, which doesn't happen nearly as often now either.

Me either... but I actually used a bit of the lucid dream psychology on myself one night, before drifting off I mused how I would love to have flying dreams again, and imagined what it was like... and damn if I didn't have one that night! It was awesome... hasn't happened since but I haven't really put my mind to it 🀭
