Info dump on me folks

I did that yesterday, with the orthopedic surgeon, when I was asking about treatment. I don't know what he thought about it, but he kept his professionalism and answered all my questions.
I know it drives doctors nuts, but how can I trust the answers they give me if I don't give them the complete context of the question?

It started with Matthew inviting us to infodump. Ortho was on my mind because a brace is on my knee - it's what's happening now.

I get that so much - "give me all the information I need to make a decision possible."

Ah, gotcha. I was not familiar with the term in this context. Once again I am learning of a known, labelled trait that is me all over. It is something I have been gently (usually) mocked for my entire life.
I infodump and on things of concern I insist on it. When Dad was in hospital & had a sundowners episode I went to nurse station & said "Get me someone who can tell me everything there is to know about sundowners."
