If you are thinking about buying an electric car, just be aware dealers have marked these up by $10K thereby negating the rebate and you still pay an extra ~$2500. The Capitalists really do want to kill the planet.

This is an area where you can make use of people's fear of BEVs.
I found a VW ID.4 that had been sold new 6 months earlier, and had less than 2,000 miles on the odometer, for $10,000 below MSRP sticker price. $22,000 less than the local VW dealer was selling them new.
Because it was so new, with so few miles, my credit union financed it at the new car interest rate, saving me 0.75% on the interest.

Thanks for posting!
This is where Im at - looking to purchase due to a totaled car. Definitely looking for newer PHEVs, not sure about BEVs but open. Credit Union too πŸ™Œ
Not playing the mark up game.
Oh and fun fact! Kia is marking up their vehicles by ~$3000 to cover the cost of installing LoJack which is supposed to be the fix for their flawed vehicle’s theft problem! Gotta love the attempt at grift πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I can tell you I was a VW sceptic until this one. I didn't buy it for me, I bought it for the hubs, and he loved the ID.4. I've really been impressed with it. The ride, the handling, it's a great car.
For me, I'm probably going to get a Polestar 2 - I prefer sedans - but if that doesn't happen, I'm getting my own ID.4
