Now I'm wondering what a "rotation task" is.
What something would look like if it was rotated on an axis?

Ah - OK. I score high on that. I used to not understand how someone could see a blue print and not know exactly what the finished product would look like. I currently work in an engineering field, and it's useful.

On the flip side, I get more weirded out by those impossible drawings. This one, of an impossible set of stairs, can make my eyes cross if I look at it too long, or study it too hard.

Finally!!! A depiction of my life!!!!

Ooh I love Escher's artwork.
The symbolism, the cyclical nature, the impossible perspectives.
I just lose myself in them. Very soothing.

Indeed, gotta roll with it for meditative purposes. If we pull back and get Newtonian on it, head will likely hurt.

I joke that I'm the Einstein of engineering. Good at everything except the math. I have intermittent dyscalculia.
I understand the math. But I can't do it. Never balanced my checkbook until calculators were invented.
@brainpilgrim @ScottSoCal @markusl @dpnash @sentient_water @AlisonW @ginsterbusch @Tooden @andrewporter @cwebber @actuallyautistic @neurodiversity @pathfinder I still don't balance my checkbook. But it's more about executive dysfunction than anything. In highschool, I was 17th in the state of Texas for the "number sense" competition, which was a test centered around mental arithmetic without showing any work. But it's my visualization skills that I rely on for my day job (machine learning engineer) and mental arithmetic basically doesn't come into it. So it's like this high-powered skill that's totally useless for me.
@ScottSoCal @markusl @dpnash @sentient_water @AlisonW @ginsterbusch @Tooden @andrewporter @cwebber @hosford42 @actuallyautistic @neurodiversity @pathfinder Yes. It's a function that helps people read terrain maps and make sense of them, as opposed to people who. Can't.
